Blue Mound State Park is off US 18/151. The 1,153-acre park's centerpiece is 1,716-foot Blue Mound, the highest point in southern Wisconsin. According to legend, Winnebago treasure is buried in the mound. The summit offers views of the Baraboo Range and Wisconsin River Valley. Pets on leash are allowed. Recreational activities are permitted. Camping is permitted. Picnicking is permitted.
$11 (per out-of-state private vehicle); $8 (per in-state private vehicle); $4 (per in-state private vehicle with resident senior age 65+). Annual permit $38 (per out-of-state private vehicle); $28 (per in-state private vehicle); $13 (per in-state private vehicle with resident senior age 65+).
Hours: Park open daily 6 a.m.-11 p.m.
