Norskedalen Nature & Heritage Center is 3 mi. n.e. via CRs P and PI, nestled in Poplar Coulee. The 400-acre educational, nature and heritage center offers trails, museums, an arboretum, a visitor center and a restored 1890s pioneer log homestead. The Norskedalen Heritage Site, west of Coon Valley and south of Norskedalen off US 14/61, offers self-guiding tours through 12 historic buildings. Programs are offered some Sundays at 2, May through November. Special events are featured throughout the year.

A trail is available for the physically impaired. Leashed pets are permitted on the grounds but not in the buildings.

Guided tours are available. Pet friendly (call for restrictions/fees.). Picnicking is permitted.
