Clean budget hotel - make...
Pros: Room was very clean, bed quite comfortable, AC worked well and fairly quietly. We asked for a room away from elevator, upper floor and were given that.
Price was good considering the location (close to the capitol).
Cons: We felt sorry for the overworked reservationist. Budget-hotels tend to understaff and one person in evening is left to answer phone, check guests in, attend to other guests needs. The evening reservationist was very nice, but stressed with too much to do.
The room was fine enough - bare bones, but we were rarely there. However, it is unfortunate that such shoddy construction is acceptable - paint splotches all over bathroom door, painted over peeling grout, hinges hanging on fixtures. Again, it didn't affect our comfort, room was still clean (and very nice cleaning staff!), just our overall impression of the care taken on site. More money is put into the lobby and fitness center, perhaps.
Should have recycling bins in hotel rooms! Many of us are traveling, so are using plastic bottles. Same thing with paper cups in room.
A little thing, but would suggest putting TV on a moveable shelf/arm. It is on a too-low unit and cannot be shifted. Also, a TV channel directory would be nice.
