Pettit National Ice Center is s. of I-94 exit 306 at 500 S. 84th St. The 200,000-square-foot U.S. Olympic training site houses one of two 400-meter speed-skating ovals in the United States; two full international-sized rinks for hockey, figure skating and short-track speed skating; and one 443-meter track for walking or running. The center hosts local, regional, national and international competitions in skating sports. The center also is open to the public for skating, walking and running nearly every day; phone for schedule.
