Avoid this place, Horrible smell,...
Pros: There was a microwave in the room. The bed was comfortable. There was a stop for the Brewers Line around the corner which was very convenient and only cost $2.25 pp each way for getting to and from Miller Park. Buffet breakfast was included.
Cons: When we arrived they took our backpacks and labeled them with post it notes. Although there were many bags and a lobby full of people waiting we did not get a ticket for our bags and we were not asked for a phone number to get a call when a room was ready. We asked where we could get some food and were told there were 'tons of restaurants' just around the corner. We had walked from the train so wanted something very close. There was only a closed Italian and Thai place and a greasy spoon type small place. No one mentioned the attached smokehouse with a door to it in the lobby. We walked about 6 more blocks a found a strip of Brat house type restaurants and did end up having a good meal. The entire building stunk from the smokehouse and aggravated our allergies (why we only stay in non smoking places). It was difficult to breathe and we felt as if we were surrounded by heavy smokers the entire time in the building. The staff told us it depends on how the wind blows and there was nothing they could do about the bad smell, There is nothing close by, except a practically empty small mall. Surprisingly empty streets for a downtown area. We got different answers depending on what staff member we asked. The maid service did not show up until 430 when we were back to get freshened for dinner after being out all day, When we got back we saw that the dirty washrag had not been removed and the bed had not been made. Only some clean towels had been left. Scrambled eggs on breakfast buffet were cold from the start of service and breakfast meats were only lukewarm at best.
