AAA Inspector Notes
In the Historic Third Ward of Milwaukee, this place is fashioned after Munich's beer halls and celebrates the city's German heritage. All one has to do is see the number of beer steins that line the counters and shelves to realize how seriously some take this place, as each stein represents a paid-up beer club member. As guests down Hofbrauhaus beer served in generous liter glasses, they will find plenty of time to savor fresh baked pretzels or a Usinger's sausage. Some of the sausages featured are knackwurst, weisswurst, Landjaeger and the ubiquitous bratwurst. Want something different? Try the smoked pork chop or curried brat, which is absolutely delicious, even if it isn't German. And remember, gemütlichkeit is a state that can easily be reached here without a TripTik, but only if you drink responsibly.
