AAA Editor Notes
Wisconsin Concrete Park is .5 mi. s. to N8236 SR 13. In 1949, retired lumberjack Fred Smith began creating embellished concrete sculptures that he decorated with such found objects as glass bottles, metals, shards of glass and rocks. Smith chose to depict such diverse subjects as Ben-Hur, a team of eight life-size Clydesdale horses pulling a beer wagon and the Iwo Jima Monument. Today visitors can see more than 200 life-size examples of his work surrounding the Smith family's former home.
