Maywood—Ellwood H. May Environmental Park, 3615 Mueller Rd., is a 135-acre park where visitors can participate in environmental activities, take a self-guiding nature walk and utilize trails for cross-country skiing and hiking. Various habitats, including a prairie, ponds, wetlands, woodlands and the Pigeon River corridor provide ample opportunities to see wildlife such as amphibians, birds, coyotes, foxes, whitetail deer, raccoons, squirrels and wild turkeys. Educational exhibits are found at the Ecology Center.
Guided tours are available. Picnicking is permitted.
