The House on the Rock is at 5754 SR 23. Designed and built by Alex Jordan, this unusual house perched atop a rock pinnacle is at the center of a complex of interconnected buildings, separated into three sections that feature themed rooms filled with eclectic collections.

Section One contains a traditional Asian Garden with a waterfall and large pond. The Alex Jordan Center and Sculpture Pavilion reveals the story of Jordan through letters, photos, notes and sketches as well as Asian-inspired sculpture.

The Gate House serves as an entryway to the main house, which is perched on a 60-foot chimney of rock. The main house contains the Infinity Room, which extends 218 feet over the valley and 156 feet above the forest floor and offers scenic views through 3,264 windows.

Section Two includes the Mill House which has antique guns and mechanical banks. Streets of Yesterday re-creates a 19th-century gas-lit Main Street with old houses, a sheriff's office and carriage house. The Heritage of the Sea building houses a maritime collection with a 200-foot-long sculpture of a sea creature embattled with a giant octopus enormous as well as Titanic artifacts and more than 200 model ships. Highlights of the Tribute to Nostalgia building include a 1963 armor-plated, tile-covered Lincoln Continental and a Rube Goldberg machine. The Music of Yesterday houses a collection of animated, automated musical machines. The Spirit of Aviation features a large collection of model planes with wingspans up to 8 feet. The giant carousel is illuminated with more than 20,000 lights and carries 269 handcrafted creatures; it has no horses.

Section Three houses the Organ Room, filled with huge vats, cannons, banks of organ pipes and an organ console; the Dollhouse Building, with one of the world's largest collections of wooden dollhouses; and the Circus Building, with more than 1 million pieces of circus pieces, accompanied by a 40-piece animated band and an 80-piece orchestra. Also in Section Three are: The Galleries, with displays of medieval European and Asian armor, a firearms collection and replicas of the Crown Jewels; the Doll Carousel Building, which houses two revolving carousels containing hundreds of bisque dolls; and the Japanese Garden, which includes 14-foot quadruple waterfalls and a koi pond.
