family with young children
Cons: Upon entering our rooms, first thing I noticed that the rooms had NO carpet, I have knee implants, I slipped and fell twice, the first night. I couldn't do what I was invited to do in Milwaukee because the second time I fell, I couldn't get up without help, so I had to lay there on the floor until my room mate came back and helped me off the floor and into bed. I stayed in bed all day in pain, while the rest of my party enjoyed the event we came for. My youngest grand-daughter was trying to sit in a chair and as she was attempting to sit the chair rolled back from under her, she fell, a tooth was knocked loose, there was a big "BOOM" and the rest of us looked on at the crying children and the upset parent. The fall was so hard that the tooth that was loosened came out while my grand daughter was later eating pizza AND she accidentally SWALLOWED the tooth, to top all of that off, we received a call from the front desk that we were, "too loud," I apologized and tried to explain what the "NOISE," was, but, I got "hung-up" on. Our check-In, acted as he was nervous checking us in, he confused us with the rule about putting a HOLD on my credit card. At check out, I explained our stay and nothing was done or said. I feel cheated out of what was suppossed to be a Surprise, Speacial Event for a loved one. It was everything but that. I spoke with the front desk clerk at check out she said she would speak with her manager. I have not heard anything from anyone. I'm VERY disappointed with Extended Stay, I've stayed with Extended Stay many many times and it was fine, but this must be something else or either the rules have changed, because I've never stayed at one where, the kitchen utensils and such were NOT provided for you. Well they were, but you have to PAY additionally for them, I was STUNNED.
