Fort Caspar Museum and Historic Site is .5 mi. n. of SR 220 off Wyoming Blvd. at 4001 Fort Caspar Rd. This site on the Oregon, California, Mormon, and Pony Express trails includes reconstructions of an 1847 Mormon Trail ferry, an 1859 Guinard bridge and an 1865 frontier Army fort. Museum exhibits recount the history of central Wyoming, from prehistory to the present.
