Cody Firearms Museum is at 720 Sheridan Ave. at Buffalo Bill Center of the West. The museum is noted for its exhibits of American firearms, including the Winchester collection. The museum, featuring some 30,000 firearms-related artifacts, traces the development of firearms from the early 16th century. Examples range from centuries-old projectile arms to flintlocks and Gatling guns to modern sport rifles.
Included with Buffalo Bill Center of the West admission of $19; $18 (ages 65+); $16 (students ages 18+ with ID); $12 (ages 6-17).
Hours: Daily 8-6, May 1 to mid-Sept.; daily 8-5, mid-Sept. through Oct. 31; daily 10-5, Mar.-Apr. and in Nov.; Thurs.-Sun. 10-5, rest of year. Closed Jan. 1, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
