Western History Center is 5 mi. w. at 2308 US 26. The center has displays about archeological excavations and the physical evidence left behind by the area's earliest citizens. In addition to a working lab, visitors can see fossils, mammoth bones and projectile points—items found in local digs that enable researchers to understand the lives of early residents of the Western plains.
