The Fiesta Americana Merida hotel is a clean, modern, relaxing, friendly, helpful to someone that does not speak the language, safe feeling, quality restaurant, and fairly priced place from which to explore Merida and the surrounding attractions.
Pros: Very friendly staff - helpful front desk - safe feeling - good restaurant.
Cons: Bar did not open until 5pm - Evening buffet did not start until late.
Pros: It was in the center of town. Has access to the Hyatt and the Presidente Intercontinental, which are way better; I stayed there to try them out.
Cons: Overcharged me. Opened doors that said do not disturb.
Looks impressive, would like to...
Pros: Beautiful stunning building, old royal style
Cons: Dreadful wifi in the room, reception staff don't really know how to explain the differences between the two restaurants (one is Mexican, the other is international cuisine). Level of English in the restaurants is practically absent.
