Pros: It is a very quiet and the staff is very friendly
Cons: the pool is very small and the restaurant is expensive
This was a beautiful hotel set amongst other nice hotels. The staff was so helpful and professional.
Pros: The location was great and it was clean and roomy. Nice staff.
Cons: The toilet did work and had to be repaired on the 2nd day but they fixed it. Had to buy own water.
Pros: The hotel maintains a colonial and historical atmosphere with newer amenities.
Do not stay here!
Cons: I struggle to explain the staff's arrogance, poor attitude and lackof training. To celebrate my daughter's 17th birthday, I reserved adeluxe room with two queen beds and free WiFi. When my wife and daughterarrived, the desk clerk informed them that they had no reservation andthat the room price would be more than double our confirmed price. Mywife had printed out the confirmation and showed it to the desk clerk -who informed her that her confirmation meant nothing; she was not in thesystem and the hotel would not honor it.
After arguing for over ONE HOUR in the hotel lobby, the hotel finally relented - remember, my wife had a printed copy of her reservation - but told her she would have to pay for internet. Another argument ensued and the hotel finally relented. Then they went to their room and discovered the two standard, not queen, beds in their standard, not deluxe, room. To top it off, the pool is the size of a postage stamp.
Merida boasts several excellent hotels but this is not one of them. Don't waste your money here, go across the street to the Hyatt or Fiesta Americana.
Good hotel (and great breakfast)...
Pros: - Great breakfast buffet
- Free WiFi
- Bus station just in front (a good company, to go to Cancun for instance)
- Safe area
- Helpful staff
Cons: - A little bit far by walk from the downtown
- Very small fitness center (not a real one)
- Concierge is nice but is based in a kind of business center and you have to done half of the hotel to reach that place
- The bar of the hotel was closed...
very short trip, looking forward...
Pros: Buffet was excellent, staff very attentive, very clean
Pros: there is no sunshine at the pool, otherwise it is perfect
Cons: La alberca
Pros: We got free wifi because we had the Club card.
Cons: Lo by limited in appeal. Not many common comfortable areas. Big Patio was empty so it made the whole area seem unkept.
Its more a Holiday Inn,...
Pros: Its more a Holiday Inn, not an Intercontinental
Cons: Its more a Holiday Inn, not an Intercontinental
Pros: Nice place to stay
Cons: The free wifi became very slow after 9 pm, which was a nuisance.
Menu at the restaurant was somewhat reduced but food and prices were all right.
Cons: The hotel is in a middle of major renovation. I was not told about it when I made the booking. Couldn't rest after a long flight due to noise, she of painting etc etc
I think it's booking.com responsibility to advise the client of this before committing. It's a big disappointment.
Pros: Breakfast good
Cons: From design not so good
Excellent service, food and accommodations
Pros: Food was superb and the service excellent in all areas, One of the best hotels in Merida without a doubt.
Pros: The staff at this hotel is marvelous. They have amazing customer service skills and make you feel very welcomed at their facilities and in your visit to Merida, Yucatan.
When planning to visit, i will most definitely plan to stay here.
Pros: Bartender Gasper and Mr.Valrika in the reception were exceptionally good at their jobs and very pleasant to deal with.
Good value for money
Pros: - nice room, big bed
- good internet (however for 150 MXN/day, approx 10 USD)
- nice breakfast buffet
- helpful staff
- easy to get to by taxi
- parking free
Cons: - a bit off the city center in case you like to walk back home after having had dinner in the city center
- internet for pay
Good enough but there are...
Pros: Good location and helpful staff. They also allowed me to do a late check out.
Cons: I booked a room with a king size bed and they gave me one with two twin beds because they're fully booked and they'd already assigned my room to someone else. I had a welcome cocktail included, when I asked for it, it was orange juice with a dash of cranberry syrup.
