Antietam National Cemetery

Antietam National Cemetery, 302 E. Main St., 1 mi. s. of battlefield entrance on SR 34, was dedicated on Sept. 17, 1867, and is the final resting place of 4,776 Union soldiers and 261 U.S. soldiers who served in subsequent wars. “The Private Soldier,” a monument dedicated to Civil War dead, is a notable landmark. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
