Museum of the Earth is 3 mi. n. at 1259 Trumansburg Rd. (SR 96). Natural history displays, interactive science displays and art exhibits highlight the evolution of life on Earth and take visitors on a journey through 4.5 billion years of history. Skeletons of the Hyde Park Mastodon and Right Whale #2030 are on display along with a 500-foot mural tracing the timeline of recent life on our planet, an interactive glacier exhibit and two coral reef tanks. The Prep Lab allows visitors to observe fossil research and preservation, while the Discovery Labs engage paleontologists of all ages in hands-on exploration. Time: Allow 2 hours minimum.
