Whirlpool State Park, on the Niagara Scenic Pkwy. n. of the Whirlpool Bridge, is on a bluff overlooking the whirlpool that results from the Niagara River's 90-degree turn. The park also has gorge and rim trails. Ramps and steps wind along the gorge. Popular activities include biking, fishing, hiking and cross-country skiing. Pet friendly (call for restrictions/fees.). Recreational activities are permitted. Picnicking is permitted.
