2024 Genesis Electrified GV70 Prestige

The Electrified GV70, introduced in 2023, is a sleek, sophisticated midsize electric luxury SUV. Apart from the drivetrain, it’s virtually identical in appearance and features to the Genesis’ gasoline-powered GV70, and it succeeds on nearly every front. The Electrified GV70’s dual electric motors (429 hp) provide ample acceleration and torque, and the drivetrain feels strong and smooth. Ride quality is a highlight, with just the right mix of comfort and agile handling. All-wheel drive is standard. Inside, the Electrified GV70 impresses with its elegant, attractive interior, simple HVAC controls, upscale materials, and first-class fit and finish. The front seats provide plenty of headroom and legroom. Genesis equips the Electrified GV70 with a complete suite of standard advanced safety features, some with avoidance-assistance qualities, which can intervene to reduce the risk of a collision or make its effects less severe. The Electrified GV70 has just a few shortcomings, the biggest of which is its relatively limited range for a luxury vehicle—236 miles. Fortunately, its 350-kW charging system can charge the battery from 10% to 80% capacity in under 20 minutes. We also noticed a spongy feel in the brake pedal, and, at an added $6,800, the Prestige features package seems a little pricey. And oddly, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration are unavailable.
