SR 37 (Center Road) zigzags across the Old Mission Peninsula, offering views of Grand Traverse Bay at the outset, again when it skirts the bay’s eastern shore and for a final time at the end of the trip. Beautiful farm country constitutes the bulk of the route, though. Rural scenes filled with fields, barns, orchards and vineyards do not disappoint.
