Also known as Lake Ontario State Parkway, this four-lane, lightly traveled segment of the scenic Seaway Trail connects secluded state parks along the shores of Lake Ontario to Rochester’s northern suburbs.

Tantalizing glimpses of Lake Ontario through the trees alternate with sweeping lake views as the Seaway Trail (aka Lake Ontario State Parkway here) comes within a few feet of the water. The road passes two state parks and a wildlife reserve, which explains all the cars hauling kayaks and camping gear in summer. In winter, however, portions of the parkway are closed.
