Within the Green Mountain State Forest, you will visit Vermont’s share of the Appalachian Mountains, the Green Mountains. US 7 enters the southern portion of the 370,000-acre forested recreational area. Outside of the forest, travelers will drive through charming towns within the valleys of the foothills.
