Seasonal route: The road is subject to closure in winter. Peer through stands of cottonwood and spruce on the Jenny Lake Scenic Road in Grand Teton National Park for a breathtaking sight: the glassy sapphire water of Jenny Lake reflecting the snow-dusted towering peaks of the Grand Tetons. Share the one-way road with hikers, bicyclists, moose, deer and black bears.
The scenery here is a study in contrasts. On the east side of Jenny Lake, drive past meadows and a conifer-filled valley; on the west side, ogle magnificent mountains bursting from the earth with only the lake's waters to introduce them. Stop at the Cathedral Group Turnout or lakeside at the Cascade Canyon Overlook for unobstructed views of the Tetons and amazing photos.
