Seasonal route: The road is subject to closure in winter. Known as the Sawtooth Scenic Byway, SR 75 passes through dry, rolling hills and irrigated farmland, ascends past ski resorts in Ketchum and Sun Valley and winds through the heart of the Sawtooth National Recreation Area, reaching a high point at 8,701-foot-high Galena Summit.

Small farming communities, ski resorts, alpine forests and jagged peaks characterize the changing scenery along Idaho’s Sawtooth Scenic Byway. Just past Galena Summit, an overlook offers picture-perfect views of the Sawtooth Range. Near the route’s end in Stanley, the still waters of Redfish Lake beautifully reflect the craggy profiles of surrounding mountains.
