Seasonal route: The road is subject to closure in winter. In northern Wyoming, elevations rise and the rocky terrain takes over. The Beartooth Highway is Wyoming’s highest paved primary road and the only National Scenic Byway in Wyoming. Panoramic vistas abound as it winds its way toward the northeast entrance to Yellowstone National Park.
