Threading through the Deschutes and Willamette national forests, this scenic byway shows off the high Cascades in all its beauty, offering access to ski areas and hiking trails, including the Pacific Crest Trail. You’ll enjoy excellent views of Black Butte and Mount Washington as well as Lost Lake, which disappears into lava tubes in summer, and the sparkling McKenzie River.
