Sir Francis Drake Boulevard enters Point Reyes National Seashore north of Olema. Point Reyes Beach North is a wide, flat stretch of sand backed by rolling coastal dunes carpeted with low-growing vegetation—most strikingly the ice plant, a non-native species with leaves that look like plump green spears. The byway ends at Point Reyes Lighthouse, perched on a clifftop overlooking the Pacific.
