Arkansas’ Crowley’s Ridge Scenic Parkway runs north and south from the Missouri state line down to the Mississippi state line at the Mississippi River. Because of the length of the byway, scenery varies from farmlands and cornfields to the forests that make up state parks and fields where purple and yellow wildflowers grow throughout much of the year.

A notable site on Arkansas’ Crowley’s Ridge Scenic Parkway is the Civil War cemetery near the southern terminus. Interspersed amid the rich farmland of the Mississippi River alluvial plain are woods, wildflowers that grow throughout Arkansas and old brick buildings that still have vintage advertisements painted on their sides.
