The Cohutta Chattahoochee Scenic Byway is comprised mostly of SR 2 and SR 52—two-lane roads that run by pastures, edge past Fort Mountain State Park and into the Chattahoochee National Forest where you’ll see lovely mountain vistas. A loop along Crandall Ellijay and Holly Creek Cool Springs roads takes you into backcountry farmland at the foot of the Cohutta Mountains.

The green pastoral land of Northwestern Georgia blends into the verdant forest where the mountains peep through the trees and burst into wide vistas of the Cohutta Mountains. The eastern section of the byway winds up and down the peaks of the Chattahoochee National Forest and is punctuated by the panoramic Cohutta Overlook at the southeastern terminus.
