17.6 miles: 29 minutes
South of Blairsville, Ga., the highway is encompassed by the Chattahoochee National Forest and runs through rolling mountains dense with green trees or speckled with orange and yellow as summer fades to fall. The route ends in Helen, a town that celebrates its Bavarian heritage in specialty shops and architecture reminiscent of an Alpine village.

During the winding journey through the thick Chattahoochee National Forest, see stunning views of the rolling Blue Ridge Mountains, so named for the lovely hazy blue hue as they appear in the distance. If you are feeling adventurous, stop at Raven Cliff Falls Trail for a hike to the stunning waterfall.
