Brilliant sapphire lakes are the jewels of this section of the Klondike Highway (PR 2). Targish and Nares lakes reflect the granite giants that surround them as the byway rides the ridge above offering spectacular, panoramic views. Evergreens provide an emerald bed from which the slate-gray inclines climb to pearlescent snowy peaks.

Witness unparalleled beauty along the Klondike Highway, which runs between Nares Lake and 7,000-foot mountains. At the Bove Island viewpoint, take in a panoramic view of the azure lake and awe-inspiring peaks beyond. A hair-raising stretch of road runs between the base of Boundary Range mountains, rising on the west side, and Tagish Lake’s Windy Arm, on the east.
