Seeley Lake is a year-round recreation area tucked between the Mission Mountains and Swan Range on scenic SR 83. In summer visitors can indulge in camping, hiking, golf, fishing, swimming, boating, backpacking and horseback riding. Fewer than 10 miles from town are Placid Lake and Salmon Lake state parks; Seeley Lake itself has three Forest Service campgrounds, and at the north end of the lake is the 3.5-mile-long Clearwater Canoe Trail. Northeast of Seeley Lake is the 2.5-mile-long Morrell Falls National Recreation Trail, rated as “easy.” Just east of the Morrell Falls trailhead access road is the Pyramid Pass Trail into Bob Marshall Wilderness. Head north to enjoy the 1.6-mile-long Holland Falls National Recreation Trail. Learn More...
