West Tisbury, settled by the English in 1669, was the last town to be incorporated on Martha's Vineyard. The mostly rural 34-square-mile expanse encompasses farmland, several wildlife refuges and reservations, and about half of the Manuel F. Correllus State Forest, whose 14 miles of bike paths make it popular with cyclists. Hiking, horseback riding and cross-country skiing also can be enjoyed within the 5,343-acre, wooded expanse at the center of the island. Martha's Vineyard Airport (MVY) lies at the edge of the forest on the Edgartown-West Tisbury border. Learn More...
