About BedfordBedford was named for a county in Tennessee, the original home of many of its early settlers. A general store and gristmill built by Weldon Bobo in the 1870s established the town as a gathering place for area farmers. The 62-acre Bedford Boys Ranch, a home for wayward boys, opened in 1949. The ranch is now a city park and aquatic center.
AAA’s in-person hotel evaluations are unscheduled to ensure the inspector has an experience similar to that of members. To pass inspection, all hotels must meet the same rigorous standards for cleanliness, comfort and hospitality. These hotels receive a AAA Diamond designation that tells members what type of experience to expect.
