About CelebrationCelebration is an upscale master-planned community conceptualized and built by the Disney Company, which began construction on the development in 1996. Reminiscent of New England, this small, well-manicured town is about 10 miles from the Walt Disney World® Resort and comes complete with parks, a community pool, a golf course and playgrounds. Within a 5-minute walk of most residents, downtown's Town Center is home to delightful mom-and-pop shops and restaurants. The palm-tree lined Celebration Boulevard features a movie theater, a high school and businesses housed inside Art Deco-style buildings, many designed by famous architects, including a post office designed by Michael Graves.
In keeping with its family-oriented atmosphere, Celebration goes all out when it comes to celebrating annual events, which include car shows throughout the year, late April's Great American Pie Festival and Art & Wine Stroll, A Sci-Fi 4th of July, Oktoberfest in mid-October, the World Food Championships in early November and, from late November though late December, Now Snowing, a Christmas event where simulated snow drifts from the sky.
AAA’s in-person hotel evaluations are unscheduled to ensure the inspector has an experience similar to that of members. To pass inspection, all hotels must meet the same rigorous standards for cleanliness, comfort and hospitality. These hotels receive a AAA Diamond designation that tells members what type of experience to expect.
