More About
Columbia Falls, MT

About Columbia FallsThe union of the North and Middle forks of the Flathead River has carved out Bad Rock Canyon, at the entrance of which lies Columbia Falls. The abundance of water and timber in the area supports Weyerhaeuser Company (formerly Plum Creek Timber Co).

Numerous recreational opportunities are available along scenic CR 486, which follows the North Fork of the Flathead River 20 miles north to the Camas Creek entrance to Glacier National Park. Hungry Horse Dam and the Great Bear and Bob Marshall wilderness areas also are nearby.
