DescriptionSituated in the heart of Alberta, Donalda was established in 1911 and named after the niece of Donald A. Mann, an official with the Canadian National Railway. It overlooks the scenic Meeting Creek Coulee. The region's unusual Paskapoo sandstone rock formations attract sportsman, hikers, artists and photographers. Donalda also claims an unusual man-made distinction. A 12.8-metre (42-ft.) lamp, said to be the world's largest oil lamp replica, was built in the town center by local residents. It glows at the east end of Main Street each evening.
