More About
Folkston, GA

About FolkstonFolkston is near the eastern entrance to Okefenokee Swamp, an area of more than 600 square miles. Most of the swamp was declared a wildlife refuge in 1937.

Thanks to a track configuration that funnels railroad traffic into and out of Florida through Folkston, more than 60 trains pass through the town each day.
