DescriptionAt the foot of Harrison Lake, Harrison Hot Springs is a well-known health and vacation resort with two mineral springs and a sandy beach on the lakeshore. Strong area winds make this a favorite spot for windsurfing. The surrounding mountains are known as Sasquatch country, where sightings of the legendary apelike creature twice the size of a man have been reported dozens of times.
More likely to be found in the mountains are mutton-fat jades, garnets, agates, fossils and gold; the area is renowned among rock hounds.
