Access Westside Road, just off Healdsburg Avenue, and head west—the winding route is exceptionally scenic, passing rolling hills and gorgeous countryside.
The Russian River flows through town, providing invigorating recreation for canoeists and kayakers as well as an excuse to relax for the casual day-tripper. Healdsburg Veterans Memorial Beach , 13839 Healdsburg Ave., has picnic facilities as well as a man-made swimming beach along the river. Biking through the surrounding wine country is a perfect way to combine exercise and bucolic scenery.
