About Hyde ParkHyde Park is the home of The Culinary Institute of America, a vocational training school for aspiring chefs. The school was founded in 1946 with 16 students; its most recent enrollment is about 2,800. The institute occupies a former Jesuit seminary on US 9 overlooking the Hudson River. The institute's four restaurants are open to the public by reservation.
