About LombardLombard “The Lilac Village” is located 21 minutes west of Chicago. Lilacia Park, 150 S. Park Ave., formerly a lilac garden bequeathed by Colonel William R. Plum, boasts some 1,200 lilacs and 25,000 tulips. Lilac Time , a 15-day festival in early May, is held in the park and downtown. Dr. William LeRoy House, 119 N. Yorktown Center, 203 Yorktown Center, is a shopper's paradise with 150 specialty stores, several restaurants and movie theaters. The center features three shopping experiences: Yorktown Center, an enclosed mall, The Shops on Butterfield, an open-air center, and The Shops at Yorktown Center, a strip mall. Lombard’s downtown historic district offers a variety of specialty shops as well as restaurants on tree-lined streets.
AAA’s in-person hotel evaluations are unscheduled to ensure the inspector has an experience similar to that of members. To pass inspection, all hotels must meet the same rigorous standards for cleanliness, comfort and hospitality. These hotels receive a AAA Diamond designation that tells members what type of experience to expect.
