About Mount LaurelThe Lenni-Lenape first called the Delaware Valley home until the 1700s when early European settlers, notably the Dutch, arrived fleeing religious persecution. Its proximity to Philadelphia helped increase the city's growth. The New Jersey Turnpike and I-295 both go through the community.
