About PomonaPomona is the home of 20,000-student California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, the former home of cereal king W.K. Kellogg. The Kellogg House Pomona, the winter residence of cereal magnate W.K. Kellogg, was designed by Myron Hunt. A $2.3 million restoration in the late 1990s returned this Spanish-style, 8,700-square-foot residence to its original 1920s splendor. The house is available for self-guiding tours the first Sunday of the month noon-2, October through May; phone (909) 869-2919 or (909) 869-3004 to confirm tour availability.
