About ShediacKnown for excellent beaches and surprisingly warm water (at least during the summer), Shediac claims to be the lobster capital of the world. Tourists head to Rotary Park, 229 Main St., for a photo op with the 50-ton, almost 11-metre-long (35-ft.) “World's Largest Lobster” statue. The 5-day Shediac Lobster Festival takes place in early July and includes live music and a children's parade.
