About ToppenishToppenish is the headquarters of the Yakama Nation tribes, whose land covers more than a million acres. Artists have transformed the outside walls of many buildings in town with more than 75 colorful murals depicting pioneer life in the area. A new mural is dedicated annually on the first Saturday in June. Horse-drawn wagon tours are available May through September; phone (509) 697-8995.
