About ZillahZillah, incorporated in 1911 and named for the daughter of the president of the Northern Pacific Railroad, is in the heart of the Yakima Valley's orchard and vineyard district. The Fruit Loop is a winery and farm itinerary; contact the chamber of commerce for information, phone (509) 829-5055.
A local architectural oddity is the Teapot Dome, which stands in a small park half a mile east of I-82 exit 52 at 117 First Ave., a block east of Cheyne Road. Built in the 1920s as a parody of the then-current Teapot Dome petroleum lease scandal, the squat, circular, red-and-white structure served as a gas station until 2004 and was relocated to the present site in 2012. Instead of fuel, this National Historic Landmark now dispenses tourist information.

AAA’s in-person hotel evaluations are unscheduled to ensure the inspector has an experience similar to that of members. To pass inspection, all hotels must meet the same rigorous standards for cleanliness, comfort and hospitality. These hotels receive a AAA Diamond designation that tells members what type of experience to expect.
