Kīlauea Lighthouse and Kīlauea Point National Wildlife Refuge

Kīlauea Lighthouse and Kīlauea Point National Wildlife Refuge is off Kolo Rd. at the end of Kīlauea Lighthouse Rd. The 52-foot lighthouse was built in 1913 and was in use until 1976. A visitor center showcases the structure’s history and lighthouse keepers. The wildlife refuge is home to the Laysan albatross, frigate birds and red-footed boobies.
