Savannah History Museum is housed in a restored mid-19th century passenger train station at 303 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. within Tricentennial Park. Artifacts, exhibits and an 18-minute film presentation tell Savannah's story from Native American settlement to the city’s founding in 1733 to the present day. Exhibits include the cotton legacy, waterfront commerce, the railroad and railroad travel, the Revolutionary War, a couple of motor car displays and a haberdashery where children can try on period hats.

Battlefield Memorial Park, across the street, is dedicated to the 800 men who were killed and wounded in the Battle of Savannah during the American Revolution.

Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
