2013 SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment
AAA Editor Notes
SeaWorld Orlando is at 7007 SeaWorld Dr., at jct. I-4 and SR 528 (Beachline Expwy.). This marine life adventure park has themed shows; up-close animal encounters; attractions; and rides, including the Pipeline surf coaster, the Manta, a face-down flying coaster, the floorless coaster Kraken, the water coaster Journey to Atlantis, or the launch coaster Ice Breaker.

The newest coaster Pipeline is the first-of-a-kind as it allows you to be launched 110 feet up at 60 mph while standing. At 200 feet tall and running up to 73 mph, the Mako roller coaster is reportedly the highest and fastest coaster in Orlando. Climb aboard your raft and prepare to get soaked while reaching peak excitement on Infinity Falls. Enjoy roaring rapids, thrilling chutes and splashing turns before plunging into churning whitewater.

Shows include Dolphin Adventures, with dolphins and trainers in an educational production; "Orca Encounter," a presentation about orcas; and “Sea Lion and Otter Spotlight,” which features Clyde and Seamore as well as an otter and other characters participating in a fun but educational show about animals within the Pacific Point Marine Conservation Center.

The Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin exhibit—complete with chilly temps, simulated snowstorms, imitation ice formations, a penguin-themed family ride and 250 live penguins—provides a glimpse into the fascinating lives of the tuxedoed cold-weather creatures. At the TurtleTrek exhibit, guests visit a manatee and sea turtle habitat before stepping into a huge dome theater for a 360-degree 3-D film experience.

Take a stroll down Sesame Street. In addition to rides at Sesame Steet Land, there are plenty of familiar places to go, including the famous stoop at 123, the inside of Hooper’s Store and Big Bird’s Nest. Also enjoy Sesame Street® Party Parade, featuring Elmo, Cookie Monster, Abby and all the gang.

Dolphin Nursery, Stingray Lagoon and Shark Encounter. On Behind-the-Scenes Tours, guests can interact with a penguin, touch a shark and learn how animal experts care for rescued manatees and sea turtles. Several other guided tours are offered.

If you happen to get wet at Infinity Falls, you’ll be able to dry off in no time at dryers for a small fee. Kennels, strollers, wheelchairs and lockers can be rented. Allow a full day.

Guided tours are available. Food is available.
